Woven from a special polyolefin fiber, FadeShield fabrics are durable and resistant to abrasion, staining, mold, mildew, odors, and fading.

Polyolefin fabric has a rich scientific history, first manufactured in Italy in 1957 by chemist Giulio Natta. It was formulated to transform polyolefins into fiber using titanium as a catalyst, for which Natta and Karl Ziegler won the Nobel Prize in 1963.
